This Texas Regional Residential Architecture Project started it all.

Texas Regional Residential Architecture
Patrick Ford, Architect, circa 1990

This Residential Architecture project started it all. Even before 1990, Architect, Pat Ford, began this project, in Central Texas.  A colleague suggested to her family that they work with him on the design of their ranch home. The remote site had spectacular views and provided the opportunity to use local artisans and materials to enhance the Texas Regional style.

While this project was still on the boards, Rogers-Ford set up shop in the guesthouse of a friend. Pat Ford and Nancy Rogers had begun their partnership.

The home is still in use, as a part of a hunting and fishing lodge, near Coleman, Texas.

A few things were going on in 1990 – NASA deployed the Hubble Space Telescope, the US entered a major recession, a 16 megabit chip is shown for the first time, popular films were Home Alone, The Hunt for Red October and Edward Scissorhands, and “The Simpson’s” was aired on TV for the first time.
