Project Highlights:

This project is the renovation and adaptive re-use of a building that had previously been a bus maintenance depot. As it existed, the building was an abandoned shell; still with original service bays and lubrication pits. Our charge was to create a design that would turn the site into a modern commercial bank.

The interior needed to include flexible meeting space, a teller function, offices and support services, along with a drive thru teller function.

The client wanted the exterior to project a fresh take on the existing industrial area appearing clean and sophisticated, but still reflecting the scale and industrial nature of the area. At one time, the area was all warehouses and factories, but has been transitioning quickly into Design Showrooms, Interior Designer offices, Galleries, and Restaurants. The clean lines of the renovated building fit well with the new use of spaces in this area.

The large service bay openings were in-filled with windows recalling garage doors, keeping offices at the perimeter of the building, and creating shared workspaces in the interior.

This interior development takes advantage of the existing ceiling height, creating a clean, bright, and airy space.
